There are a lot of reasons for any of us to feel stress. We’re all pretty busy, and stress has kind of become a fact of life for a lot of people.
It’s understandable. We all go through bouts with it from time to time, since we have a lot of responsibilities and big problems to handle. So it’s natural that we’d have stress to go along with that. But we don’t need to field as much stress as we do every day.
You see, a lot of us tend to make things much harder on ourselves by doing – or not doing, as the case may be – some things wrong that can be easily fixed. So we keep adding extra stress for no reason.
So I made a short list of some simple things that cause unnecessary stress, and what you can do to relieve it. Here it is in no particular order:
1. Get enough sleep
I’ve gone through bouts of insomnia in the past. I can tell you first hand that not getting enough sleep is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. You’ll spend every day as a big bundle on nerves and stress. You become forgetful. You’re on edge. And it can lead to depression, obesity and even cardiovascular problems. Read more...
Are you a self help professional with a whole lot of something to say? Well, then I think you’ve come to the right place.
I regularly interview experts, such as yourself, for this website. The intention is to spread the love, and help as many people as possible find the best information they can to help them change their lives. And I figure the best way to do that is by culling that information from as many different sources as possible. That’s my brilliant strategy.
Here’s What’s in it for You:
- Exposure – Your interview will be heard by the thousands of people who regularly visit this site, and that will help get your name out there even more than it already is.
- Traffic to Your Site – I will be sure to put links from our interview page to your site, or to anywhere else you like, such as your book on Amazon. You’ll also get a link to your site from this page. This will help you out with your page rank, and bring you a lot of qualified traffic.

If you feel like you would like to contribute some material to this website, such as an article or a review or who knows what, then by all means please do. You know you wanna. Plus, there’s some good stuff in it for you. For example:
- Exposure – This is a great way to get your name out there and get your article read by thousands of people, especially if you’re new to this whole blogging thing, and having trouble getting started.
- Traffic to Your Site – Any article that gets published will, of course, be credited to you, and you’ll get a link from the article to your site. This will help you out with your page rank, and bring you a bunch of traffic.
- Warm Fuzzy Feelings – You know you’re going to feel good after passing along your hard earned knowledge and helping out a whole bunch of people in the process.
- I’ll Be Your Best Friend Forever – You’re also doing me a big favor by giving me content for this site. And that’s pretty swell of you. Thanks for that.
A Few Important Points:

Last week, I wrote an article about focusing on the positive things in your life, and trying not accentuate the negative, so that you can to start to feel better about your life, and maybe even start making some important changes.
And I stand by what I wrote, but I want to add a little more to it from sort of the other perspective.
So rather than focusing on our own positive/negative attitudes, I want to focus on dealing with negativity that you get from others. I’m not necessarily talking about the naysayers, although they definitely count as negative. I’m talking more about the people we know who constantly complain about how bad their lives are, and everything else, for that matter.
We hear it a lot, especially at work. You know the people I’m talking about. How could you miss them? They rarely seem to have anything good to say. Everything that happens is terrible. Everyone they meet is an ass hole. And so on. Read more...
My wife and I were talking recently about someone we know who seems to spend an awful lot of time pointing out and talking about all of the bad stuff that happens, as if that’s all that ever happens. And it’s a shame because this is a good person with a lot of great qualities to feel positive about.
So it got me to thinking. And I think that it’s exactly that type of attitude that keeps bad things happening to someone. But I don’t mean that bad things happen because you’re in a bad mood, and it’s karmic, and all you need to do is be cheery and good things will happen. Or anything like that.
What I mean is much more simple than that. Basically, if you’re always focusing on the negative, then that’s all you’re going to see. And that starts to wear you down, and then you don’t have the energy or the desire for making changes or doing anything positive.
So you’ve really created your own misfortune.
Frankly, everyone in the world has good luck and bad luck at different times. I know a lot of people who think that they’re cursed, and that the other guy has all the luck, but that’s simply not true. In fact, that’s not even possible. Read more...
