Hey kids,
I’ve just been interviewed by Loren Gelberg-Goff on her talk show called “Loving the Life You’re In” on World Talk Radio. Our interview has been titled “Finding & Accessing Your Self Confidence”.
Here it is:

You can listen to it right there, or you can download an mp3.
We talk about a number of things in our chat, but we focus mainly on the best way to achieve your goals and using that success to build your self confidence.
I hope you like it.
It was true when I said that you can’t do everything yourself, and that you’re going to need some help once in a while, but at the same time, you can’t expect others to do everything for you. At some point you have to take responsibility for your actions and get to work on making the changes that you want to make.
The key is to be smart about it and honest with yourself so that you can recognize what your strengths are, and what you will need help with. And then to focus on finding a solution to the problem, rather than just saying that you can’t do it, making excuses, and even blaming someone else.

I’m going to be interviewed on Friday, January 29th on a show called “Loving the Life You’re in”, which is a part of the World Talk Radio network, and it’s hosted by Loren Gelberg-Goff. I actually interviewed Loren last week. That’s right, we’re exchanging interviews. Here’s a link to my interview with Loren.
So our interview on the 29th is going to be broadcast live from 10am to 11am. Here’s a link to where you can listen:

And since it’s going to be live, you can call in during the broadcast with any questions you may have. Or you can email questions in advance. Either way.
I hope to speak to you on Friday.
I was looking through my Google Reader this morning to see what was going on in the world today, and I stumbled across an article, kinda by accident, about staying in balance when your life gets overloaded with the million things you have to do on a daily basis.
It’s on a website called ctwatchdog.com, which is actually for consumer protection in Connecticut, but here was this article staring me in the face. I read it and thought it would be a good idea to pass it along to everyone. It’s written by Cheryl Jones-Reardon.
Here’s the money shot:
“We need to make the shift from focusing on what’s wrong with life to focusing on what’s right with life. Every time you notice your attention being drawn to what isn’t going well, take a breath, and shift your attention to something that is working well.”
Very well said. Here’s the link to the full article:

There’s also information about a teleclass that she’s having soon, so if you want to ask her some questions, that might be your shot.
Enjoy.
I recently had a chance to interview a gentleman named Joseph Ratliff, who’s an internet business expert, about various strategies for entrepreneurship and success in general. And he mentioned a few things that I’ve been trying to say for a while, except that he put them much more clearly than I have. And so I wanted to pass them along and expand on them a bit, if possible.
You might remember some articles I’ve written in the past about getting organized, putting together a clear plan with achievable goals, and then starting at step one. Well, all of that is still recommended, but there’s also a point where you might be overdoing it. And those are the beans that Joe spilled for us.
I’m a firm believer in planning, don’t get me wrong, but I’m also a believer in taking action and achieving the goals that your plan should have included.
You see, some of us have a tendency to keep planning forever until everything is absolutely perfect. I call that the curse of perfection. But there’s no way to plan for every possible contingency. So since it’ll never be perfect, that means that there’s always an excuse for not getting started. Read more...
